Deborah GaddisLa Mirada, CADecember 4, 2008We need Jeff Flake's help to get the hugely wasteful spending under control. I can no longer see the United States I grew up in......what a pity it is dying. Our progeny will never know how much it has changed, and not for the better, unless we get a handle on the incredible spending and socialist programs.

MARY REEVEEnglewood, CODecember 4, 2008Mr. Boehner, In the few interviews I have read about you you are either embarrest or ashamed of the conservative base of the Republican party. I hope I am wrong about you. If I am correct you run the risk of being a leader of a party of one (yourself). Mr Flake seems to be a conservative with the courage of his convictions. That was what was lacking in McCain and is why we lost the 08 elections. Why have any morals if you no courage to speak-up and support them. The Republican party is in great need of people with the courage to stand up to the socialist that are running Washington. If you are not read to do battle for what is right you have no business being there.
Richard PalmerLaguna Woods, CADecember 4, 2008Gentlemen, we meed the likes of Congressman Jeff Flake on the House Appropriations Committee to challenge the big Pork spenders in Washington. Now is the time; the parties over!

Still they are against earmarks, and want someone to help stop them. Sincerely, Gene Forcucci

James CoffmanShelton, WADecember 4, 2008The Republican Party needs to examine itself, and get back to the conservative values of the Reagan era. Jeff Flake appears to be one who clings to those values, and I would like to register my support for his appointment to the Appropriations Committee. Thank you, and God bless. +
Jonathan MillerMachesney Park, ILDecember 4, 2008Rep. Flake is one of the few people in Washington who understands what kind of catastrophe awaits us if we continue to run up debt at this pace. His voice needs to be heard.
Mary-Ellen DavisPoughkeepsie, NYDecember 4, 2008Republicans need to restore public confidence by boycotting earmarks in legislation! Conservative Congressman Jeff Flake has already proven that he does not support hidden agenda in legislation that wastes citizens' hard-earned tax money. Please appoint Congressman Jeff Flake to the House Appropriations Committee.
Dan CorcoranMinneapolis, MNDecember 4, 2008Stop spending our children's money! We are over $10,000,000,000,000 in debt. Enough is enough!
Melissa KlappTucson, AZDecember 3, 2008I would like for Mr. Flake, to be on the appropriations committee, we do not need or like pork projects or earmarks! our money can be put to better use that what it is used for now. we need someone responsible to be on this committee, we are tired of the irresponsibility of our government, and the treatment like we dont exist, except when its time for elections. we will be watching from now on. we want smaller government, less taxes,NO wasteful spending,etc.... we dont need "big brother" telling us whats good for us, when it comes to our money. Get Mr. Flake in, we need him there!!!!!!

Christopher PachanaOxnard, CADecember 3, 2008Congressman Jeff Flake will be an excellent addition to the House Appropriations committee.
Lonnie VanVolkinburgOzark, MODecember 3, 2008Conservative Republicans need to get rid of all the RINOs and return to basic conservative principles - fiscal and social. That is our only hope for regaining national prestige and power.

Robert CandeeFallon, NVDecember 3, 2008x
Clyde CrookhamBenton, ARDecember 3, 2008Repersent the people who pay the bills (the Taxpayer) not the freeloaders and cut the pork barrel waste.
Karen HatcherWichita, KSDecember 3, 2008If you Republicans had stayed true to the party and acted like Conservatives in the first place we wouldn't be in this despicable mess. You may have destroyed the concept of freedom for the whole world because of your idiocy. I hope it is not too late.... get the proper people in place....and keep your fingers crossed! It is about time you made efforts to turn this mess around.
Nancy McGinnityNew Hampton, NYDecember 3, 2008Mr. Boehner, You are an elected Republican and therefore should act like one. Capitalism, not Socialism. Smaller government, not more intrusiveness into average American's lives.
Betty Jo ColbertCitrus Heights, CADecember 3, 2008Please put Jeff Flake on the Appropriations committee, he is someone who will look out for the people and stop wasteful spending in government. Democrats and Republicans alike need an honest and dedicated man like Jeff Flake.

Greg YanceyWalnut Grove, CADecember 3, 2008The buck has to stop here. Jeff Flake is the perfect firewall against liberal excess on the Appropriations Committee.
Keith ThomsonGrand Junction, CODecember 3, 2008I wholeheartedly support anyone who would reduce spending being appointed to committees where they can reduce spending. Earmarks may be only a tiny part of the problem, but they are better than nothing as a place to start cutting.
