Kerry PrattAnthem, AZDecember 3, 2008Representative Boehner, it is time to have the backbone to do what is hard and necessary. Jeff Flake should have the opportunity to be on the appropriations committee and stop the over spending. Republicans have done themselves and us no favors with their out of control spending. We must change now. Show your committment to us and fiscal conservatism by giving Jeff Flake the opportunity he deserves.
Barbara PickettVidor, TXDecember 3, 2008Rep. John Boehner, I would personally appreciate your supporting Rep. Jeff Flake's appointment to the finance committee. We need all the support we can muster to combat fraud and waste in Congress. Rep. Flake has proven himself to be what we need. Thank you for all your efforts on his behalf. kathy s . clearwater, FL December 3, 2008 x
Jeff ShepherdOrem, UTDecember 3, 2008I do appreciate the fact that government spending is good for the economy and helps to circulate the currency, but I also believe that much of that money could be put to more efficient use in the private sector and could be used to help alleviate real problems in the lives of people. We need our government to spend money as wisely as possible, and we need more of that money to stay in the hands of the large working, lower-middle class.
Paul Spivackmilton, WADecember 3, 2008x
Bob Hobbs Sr.Paradise Valley, AZDecember 3, 2008If you choose not to appoint Congressman Flake then I will conclude that you are following "business as ususal" which cost us Republicans the House in 2006 and even more seats in 2008.

LINDA LAGACEMERIDEN, CTDecember 3, 2008Everyone needs to cut back on their spending -- the little people (us) and our Government (you). Please, with the economy so bad and the way our investments have greatly diminished, I am putting off much needed work to my house because I just don't have the money for it. We need Someone in the Senate to watch our Government spending!

Sandra RamsdaleCharlotte, NCDecember 3, 2008In this crisis of recession and Government Bankruptcy, we need to spend taxpayers money, ONLY where it is absolutely necessary. We need someone on the House Appropriations Committee who is aware of that fact and refuses to allow pork barrel or earmark spending to be added to an already impossible burden on the taxpayers. Rep. Jeff Flake can do that job for us. You're one of the "good guys" on my list, Rep. Boehner, so do another good deed and put Jeff Flake on the Appropriations Committee! Thank you.

Gordon MorrisMilwaukee, WIDecember 3, 2008At this critical juncture, the Republican Party needs its strongest members on important committees such as the House Appropriations Committee, in order to counter the tax and spend policies of the majority party. Rep. Jeff Flake has proven his strong stand and ability to work to provide fiscally sound solutions. Please appoint him to this committee so he will be in a position to be most effective in the next Congress.
Lilian LopezCAMDEN, SCDecember 3, 2008Stop pork. Stop spending our tax money on unnecessary programs and entitlements, instead reduce tax, let us spend/give out our own money, stop handouts. No spreading of wealth. Let people grow their own wealth, allow them their pride and their own accomplishment.

Ed McGarrity Jr.Brooklyn, NYDecember 3, 2008I agree with Mr. Grant Carter of Zionsville, Pa. Republicans have to get back to the core values of their party. To rule one way spending at ever increasing rates year in, year out and then go back to the party faithful & say now or next term we will control spending and taxes just doesn't work (see 2008 elections -huge Democratic Party Wins) This county needs a man like Congressman Jeff Flake on the House Appropriations Committtee to protect the interests of american taxpayers across this county.
Bob WelkerShelley, IDDecember 3, 2008In these stressful economic times which seemingly have no easy remedy it would be advantageous to have Representative Jeff Flake appointed to the Appropriations Committee. I urge you to allow his reliable financial stance be useful by being amember of this committee. Thanks

grant carterzionsville, PADecember 3, 2008It's extremely important that Republicans get back to core principles. They will continue to lose elections if they are "Democrat-lite." Spending and taxes need to be brought under control, read: severely lowered at all levels.
Phil McConathyLexington, KYDecember 3, 2008Now is the time to have non Pork Barrel legislators on this committee. I urge your support of Jeff Flake. Thanks.
