Jim BrownJonesboro, GADecember 3, 2008Conservatism always wins. The gop losses in the last two election cycles were due to Republicans that had become liberal. Compromise means that you do not stand for anything.

Andrew BacinoPueblo West, CODecember 3, 2008Stop punishing Republicans for being conservatives. Take a stand for the tax payer; make it Flake!
todd & Nancy SchaumlöffelArapahoe, NCDecember 3, 2008 Republicans lost their conservative ideals of smaller government and fiscal responsibility and because of that, lost the election(s). Get back to those simple truths and be winners again - for America's sake! Put Jeff Flack on the Appropriations Committee!

Scott HickmanSUN LAKES, AZDecember 3, 2008Mr. Boehner: as the Wall Street Journal editorial said of Jeff Flake, "if he doesn't get [the position], we'll know House Republicans still haven't changed their ways from the Tom DeLay-Bridge to Nowhere era." Take heed!

Andrew StichmanLos Angeles, CADecember 3, 2008x
Laraine FloodFarmington, UTDecember 3, 2008The Republican Party needs people who will fight for the "little people" and Jeff Flake sounds like one of these. We the people have to cut bad and so should Congress. They spend way to much on bargain to get a vote from other congress members, it needs to stop. Tighten you belts and support Jeff Flake.
Peggy AlfordJackson, MSDecember 3, 2008Rep. Flake sounds like a fighter for the "little people". Please put him on the Appropriations Committee.
Wayne BettsDallas, TXDecember 3, 2008x
Conrad De LeeuwLittle Ferry, NJDecember 3, 2008Living in a democratic stronghold State, I know the importance of trying to curtail big government, and it's ensuing pork funding. We need Jeff Flake in the Appropriations Committee to fight the insane spending of the politicians, on BOTH sides of the aisle. Those who think, as my senators believe, that it is their right to bring the bacon home, should be thrown out of office. Unfotunately, this is not going to happen, so our best defense is to have Rep. Flake on this committee to stop this continuous spending spree.

Becky JohnsonDanville, VADecember 3, 2008The House Appropriations Committee is just where Jeff Flake should serve. He understands the financial restraint that our Congressmen should exercise.
Alonah LorenzBenson, MNDecember 3, 2008x
Dean WatsonSilsbee, TXDecember 3, 2008Why are we always expected to do with less? Time for the Government to do with less!!!! The Constitution is a LIMIT ON GOVERNMENT, start abiding by it!

Jack Hirschmann JrNew Bedford, MADecember 3, 2008The Republican party better wake up to what the spending habits of the last 8 years has done to this Country and the standing of the party if we want to break the hold and direction the Democrats will take this Country.
James StewartNaples, FLDecember 3, 2008As an American who believes in the America that our Founding Fathers gave us, I implore you to put a traditional American, Jeff Flake on the Appropriations Committee.
Daniel ComerLincoln, MTDecember 3, 2008Put lawmakers on committees where they can limit, and preferably shrink the size of goverment and its outlays. If we don't control spending the United States will cease to exist.

Marcia WallaceSarasota, FLDecember 3, 2008I was very discouraged when Jeff Flake was effectively "punished" for doing what all Republicans should have been doing. If they had, they might have kept their seats. Please put him in a key role.

Jeff OwensRedlands, CADecember 3, 2008Rep. Boehner, Why not Jeff Flake, at least he compared to you is against earmarks instead of proposing a temporary moratorium like you did. No more smoke an mirrors please. Put Flake there to do the job and quit pretending. You should resign anyway for your lack of conservative leadership.
Jonathan TaylorEagar, AZDecember 3, 2008My congressman, should be overseeing how my money is spent! Because I don't trust the rest of them. Government by The People, for The People, and of The People (look it up).
Maren WagnerLas Vegas, NVDecember 3, 2008LET THE VOICES OF FISCAL CONSERVATIVES IN CONGRESS BE HEARD LOUD & CLEAR.
leonard danielsnyc, NYDecember 3, 2008Bring back jc watts among others and get rid of the democrat lite rhinos and that is hwo the republicans can regain the majority and the presidency again!
BJ KennerlyHouston, TXDecember 3, 2008We support Jeff Flake for the Appropriations Committee.
Roger & Judy HillGrapevine, TXDecember 3, 2008With an open seat on the House Appropriations Committee, you have a great opportunity to prove that you are serious about returning to an agenda of fiscal discipline. We are writing today to express our support for Rep. Jeff Flake, in hopes that you will support his effort to get on the committee. Rep. Flake has made a name for himself on the Hill for his stalwart stand against the practice of earmarking. He has never asked for a single earmark and consistently puts the spotlight on Members who do through his weekly “Egregious Earmark” press releases and frequent speeches on the House floor. Jeff Flake is serious about reining in spending and has done an incredible job to date. But he can do even more by attacking the issue at its choke-point from inside the Appropriations Committee. We hope that we can count on you to support his effort.
Matt & Marie WickMedford, NJDecember 3, 2008We support Flake's efforts to get on the House Appropriations Committee, where he can stop wasteful spending at its source. Rep. Flake believes that government should be limited in size and scope, and that the duty of government is to protect individual liberty.
Aaron RoersCOON RAPIDS, MNDecember 3, 2008Don't be fooled again!
Scott ForrestAnchorage, AKDecember 3, 2008Moderates have led the party to where it is today. It's time to become more conservative both because it is the right thing to do and because it will win elections.
F. MacGregor MillerMorrison, CODecember 3, 2008Republicans have helped create the mess we presently have in congress. Mr. Flake can help redress this error with fiscal responsibility and plain old common sense. Let's give him a chance! Name Jeff Flake to the House Appropriations Committee!

Jack and Jean WeylerClaremore, OKDecember 3, 2008x
Tom PageSilverado, CADecember 3, 2008After having our butts kicked in the last election because our party acted more like Democrats, why don't you appoint Jeff Flake to bring some solid standing on issues that Real Americans and Conservatives agree on. Let's get back to basics and Limited Government is where we should start. Jeff Flake has been consistent and his youth will also help.
Joyce POSIKUpland, CADecember 3, 2008x
Sherry PrisellaMilford, PADecember 3, 2008We can't afford to spend what we don't have any longer. No more bail-outs!!! We need to help the American public by cutting spending AND taxes! Thanks for supporting our hard-line on pork-barrel spending and "ear marks". Enough STUFF! We need CHANGE, REAL CHANGE!
Ben MeeksMemphis, TNDecember 3, 2008Please select Jeff Flake to the Appropriations Committee.

Adele SimmonsMt. Pleasant, SCDecember 3, 2008We need some people who are tired of the overspending and not afraid to stand up to the bullies in Washington! We elect people to represent us and not walk all over us. We have lost sight of what is important in this country and that is namely God. We have been kept in the dark to much of what is going on due to the sneakiness of many in Washington and I know I speak for many to say that we are tired of watching the deficit continue to climb when it could be balanced if the overspending and frivolous spending was put to a halt. I'd like to see the lies revealed as just that, lies. I would hope that many career politicians would loose their jobs.
Patricia PiperPlacentia, CADecember 3, 2008Rep. Flake believes that government should be limited in size and scope, and that the duty of government is to protect individual liberty. I support Flake's efforts to get on the House Appropriations Committee, where he can stop wasteful spending at its source.
