NameCityDateComments
Kim GallowayTampa, FLDecember 11, 2008We lost partly because spending ran rampet. Bush had to let everyone have anything they wanted to keep support for the military i guess. Now time to get back closer to Reagan on this one." Government powerful enough to give you everything you need, is powerful enough to take everything you own." Ronald Reagan

Mark CrippsOrange Park, FLDecember 11, 2008Stop the ridiculous spending and find something to cut. This credit card mentality is stupid and destructive! I support Congressman Flake on the appropriations committee.
Gary JenkinsBLUE SPRINGS, MODecember 11, 2008The GOP has got to become the party of smaller government. No more bail outs!!
Jeff WaldenMountain View, CADecember 11, 2008We have rightfully lost our claim to represent small, efficient government over the last several years. Sure, earmarks aren't a huge part of the federal budget, but they're a particularly insidious one because they breed corruption and disdain for the idea of limiting spending when it really matters. Put someone who takes the high road on the committee -- it's the first step toward redemption.

otis devinefairview, TXDecember 10, 2008If the republicans ever expect any respect, they must place and support conservative leaders. I will fight the election of any repubic ( non conservative) for any office, both physically and monetarily.

Joseph SweeLake Bluff, ILDecember 10, 2008If it really wants to be the party that believes in protecting the tax payer, the Republicans have to take a strong stand against earmarks.

Michael DugasBradenton, FLDecember 10, 2008Jeff Flake is the man for this job. He is strong conservative minded man who will run the Appropriations Committee as it should be run. Earmarks, pork or ill gotten booty, whatever you want to call it, has got to stop. Before the government decides to come to us for more tax dollars, more of our money from our wallets, it should show us a concerted effort at tightening its own belt first. Especially in economic times like these where the government bears a lot of the fault.
Joshua AmyxBrookport, ILDecember 10, 2008Conservative principles need to steer the GOP once again.
