| Robert Vaughan | Winter Park, FL | January 18, 2008 | Jeff Flake is the kind of guy that we need to rejuvenate the Republican party and stop all of these outrageous earmarks. |
| Eric Schlottman | Miami, FL | January 18, 2008 | I am deeply concerned about the ballooning debt that the federal govenment has incurred. Emergency situations may require taking on temporary and well-considered debt, but becoming dependent on borrowing to finance routine, ongoing operations is foolish and dangerous. It is only a matter of time until the system must collapse, and a once-powerful nation will be brought to its knees. Appointing a fiscal conservative to the Appropriations Committee would be a wise first step towards restoring some stability and a more hopeful future. The effects on our economy of the current housing loan defaults will seem miniscule by comparison if our federal government is unable to meet its obligations. I hope the Republicans will reconsider their drift from their historical position of limited government and take leadership in this area of critical and urgent need. |
| Christopher Warnagiris | Camp Lejeune, NC | January 18, 2008 | Stop wasting my money. |
| paul winslow | wilson, NC | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Kenneth Moeckel | Norfolk, CT | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Richard Jansen | Richmond, VA | January 18, 2008 | With the Democrats close to winning the presidency and the Republicans continuing to compromise their principles on the alter of re-election, we are close to loosing our country to the Loony Left. Let's not just win a battle, why not start winning the war. |
| J. Suzanne Langthorne | Hanover, MA | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Scott Kilgras | Medford, OR | January 18, 2008 | It's time to stop talking about cutting spending and to start doing something about it. Please appoint Jeff Flake to the House Appropriations Committee. |
| Walter England | Norfolk, VA | January 18, 2008 | As a fiscal conservative I am shocked that the Rep. party has their hands filled with PORK. THIS MUST STOP AT ONCE! This money wasted is obscene and makes me sick to my stomach. You in political office, need to get it together before WE THE PEOPLE vote you out of your job. STOP wasting our money on a bunch of useless so-called 'projects'. |
| Jody Wright | Long Beach, CA | January 18, 2008 | Please show us that you are serious about ending wasteful spending by appointing Congressman Flake to the Appropiations Commitee. I live in the very fiscally irresponsible state of California and know firsthand how damaging governmental excess can be. |
| Diana Liberatore | Carmel, IN | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Richard Jenkins | Hillsdale, MI | January 18, 2008 | This a great idea to let grass roots people (like me) respond. Thankyou |
| ANNE McCoy | Columbia, SC | January 18, 2008 | If the Republicans are serious about their Reagan legacy & want to win in 2008,then you Republican politicians should show your commitment to end wasteful earmark spending by appointing Rep. Flake to the House Appropriations Comm. |
| Al Haberstroh | Novi, MI | January 18, 2008 | As a fiscal conservative I am very close to abandoning your party because of wasteful spending and the terrible explosion of earmarks in spending bills. If you do not appoint Rep. Flake to the Appropiations Commitee I will assume that you perfer self interest and waste to good government and will look elsewhere for representation. |
| John J. Edel | Houston, TX | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Gerald Brown | Detroit, MI | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Michael Notzon | Victoria, TX | January 18, 2008 | If Rep. Flake is not acceptable for a position on the Appropriations Committee, then the Republican Party no longer represents conservative voters and I will have to look elsewhere for representation. |
| Bonita Swanson | Burnsville, MN | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Wayne Barton | Bloomington, MN | January 18, 2008 | As a conservative, a taxpayer, a registered voter and a patriot I call upon the Republicans in the congress to appoint Jeff Flake to the House Appropriations Committee. It is time for the Republicans in congress to be responsible with the funds tht are allocated. IT'S OUR MONEY!!! Be responsible in the way you choose to spend it! |
| Mastin Jacobs | Houston, TX | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Warren Miessen | Indianapolis, IN | January 18, 2008 | The people who put you in office deserve better than being sadddled with earmarks and an ever growing government. this has been a big drain on the people and must stop. Jeff Flake is the one who has shown restraint and fiscal responsibility He is the one who should head up the approiations commitee to rein in the budget and irresponsible government. Please see by your vote that he is appointed. |
| Frank H Weir | Plymouth, MN | January 18, 2008 | It is high time for Congress to do something FOR the people instead of TO the people and put someone in charge that is more cincerned with watching our funds rather than OK'ing every piece of pork legislation that comes up! |
| Paul.D. Wagstaff | Houston, TX | January 18, 2008 | It is more than time enough to appoint & back Congressman Flake / The Appropriations Committee and return us to genuine fiscal responsibility. I feel he would be a great assett to help our downridden economy / the stock market & the devaluing of our dollar by European Countries (Upcoming World Bank / The Beast). Other countries are invilved also in the Middle East & China. |
| John Esmay | Chisago City, MN | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Christina Krauss | Ridgewood, NJ | January 18, 2008 | It is our time, as CONSERVATIVES, not RINOs, to put our money where our mouths are! Or, to take that money away. Fiscal responsibility is one of the most important premises of true conservatism and too many "Republicans" are diminishing the efforts well-intended congressional Republicans every day. Cut the pork, let the retiring government employees go without being replaced and get on with business, not monkey business. |
| Ken Trojan | matteson, IL | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Brian Reichenbach | Lake George, NY | January 18, 2008 | We owe it to America to be the party of the grown-ups again. |
| Bill bleakley | Myrtle Beach, SC | January 18, 2008 | Our elected officials have created a means of conducting buisness that is easier for them , but not best for the citizens who put them there. There must be a change away from earmarks & towards less government. |
| James Holbert | Elkton, VA | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Robert Odden | Columbia Heights, MN | January 18, 2008 | My tax dollars should not be spent getting elected officials in office re-elected. As it is, elected officials are always making it impossible for third parties or serious contenders to get on the ballot and win. If the project was worthwhile, it would have been approved by local voters. |
| Hal & Melody Mapes | Katy, TX | January 18, 2008 | x |

| Pam Beltz | Issaquah, WA | January 18, 2008 | We're out here living our day to day lives, and we've entrusted our coutry's future to you. That future is not well served by fiscal irresponsibility. Even the recipients of "pork" suffer in the end when they develop the belief that government actually has money to give away. That's my money, and I'd advise you spend it wisely. |
| Dominic Izzo | The Woodlands, TX | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Bob Warringer | Sarasota, FL | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Milton Tyler | Big Run, PA | January 18, 2008 | In my county, Jefferson, in PA I have worked hard and long to put and keep Republicans in office. Many of us have been disillusioned by our party. So much so that many Republicans voted Democrat in the 2002,2004,2006 elections. I did not, however I curtailed my donations. If our leaders don't change neither will the electorate. Sad isn't it? |

| Candace Braksick | McLouth, KS | January 18, 2008 | If Republicans ever want to regain the majority in Congress they need to show fiscal responsibility by reining in out-of-control government spending and reducing taxes on hard-working Americans. |
| Jerry Hansen | Aurora, UT | January 18, 2008 | I guess the only thing to do if the Republican Party does not appoint Rep Flake to this committee is to support a third party candidates this election cycle. This has to stop while we still have a country. |
| Anthony Kusek | Albion, NE | January 18, 2008 | x |

The American people are TIRED of being ignored and it will no longer be tolerated. The American people will be watching. |
| Carolyn Ann Widmer | Jefferson, GA | January 18, 2008 | It is about time the legal thievery was stopped. The Congress of the U.S. has been corrupt for a very long time and it is time the taxpayers were given a break. Stop the earmarking with Flake on the Appropriations Committee. Carolyn Ann Widmer, Jefferson, Georgia |
| Sue Beam | Eighty Four, PA | January 18, 2008 | To win in November the party must show the voter that they are serious about returning the fiscal restraint. Republicans don't support pork spending when it is out of control and it is. Jeff Flake would let the voters know that Republicans are serious about changing their spending habits. |
| Marc Thomas | Cross Junction, VA | January 18, 2008 | I believe that Rep. Jeff Flake is the right man to serve on the Appropriations Committee. I am asking you to put him on the Appropriations Committee. | joe halpin | Jacksonville, FL | January 18, 2008 | x |
| Audrey Mabray | Houston, TX | January 18, 2008 | Back to Basics, please. If you don't have it, you won't and can't spend it. Ever wonder why congress has the lowest confidence ranking of the American citizen than ever before? Gas, Greed and big Government! |
