steven kannerglendale, AZJanuary 15, 2008Appointing Rep. Flake to this position, or failure to do so, will make a very important statement about Rep party's committment to fiscal responsibility. While not a resident of his district, I have followed Mr. Flake's career and know his steadfast committment on this issue. Thank you.

David HudsonLawrence, MIJanuary 15, 2008Democrats didn't take the majority in congress because of Iraq. They won because conservatives like me wanted to teach the Republican Party a lesson about where we stand on personal freedom, big government, and out-of-control spending. Get the hint.
Paul Van StoneNaples, FLJanuary 15, 2008Make it Flake, or we'll likely damage our great country further.
Lorraine RutherfurdFallbrook, CAJanuary 15, 2008x
Robert F CaseColumbus, OHJanuary 15, 2008John Boehner might be the most attractive future Republican leader. I hope he doesn't undermine his own prospects by abdicating responsible endorsements, such as that of Jeff Flake.
Doug KnolesMesa, AZJanuary 15, 2008Dear Representative Boener, Please join me and millions of Americans who desire to cut wasteful spending everywhere. We recognize that the spending habits of our elected officials are contrary to those of us who manage businesses, homes, etc. PLEASE show the country that the Republican leadership is serious about spending reform. Place Jeff Flake on the committee!
Herbert KelleyCallaway, FLJanuary 15, 2008The government needs to stop spending money that is not theirs.
Sean GroganNorth Las Vegas, NVJanuary 15, 2008Clearly, Rep. Flake understands the type of fiscal conservancy I thought my representatives were practicing. This is a perfect committe for Jeff. Make it happen!
D.J. FosterTucson, AZJanuary 15, 2008Give Mr. Jeff Flake the job.
Marshall MorrisPortland, ORJanuary 15, 2008Please, please, stop spending like crazy. Support Jeff Flake.
Eugene GoldsmithFerndale, WAJanuary 15, 2008I am a former Washington State Legislator, and I am believing that you like the minority as you get the same pay without any work. That's what happen in our State in 1998 as we failed to be fiscally responsible as we had promised in the Contract. Appoint Flake.
David DuncanMilwaukee, WIJanuary 15, 2008x
Richard DiMeoEvergreen, COJanuary 15, 2008Re-position the Republican party as the party of fiscal responsibility, limited government and freedom. Appointment Congressman Jeff Flake to the House Appropriations Committee.

Rita PlowmanPort Edwards, WIJanuary 15, 2008It's hard to trust our elected officals. They don't seem to be listening to the ones that voted for them. The out of control spending has got to stop. Stop the "pork". Let's see what Jeff Flake will do about it.

Lynn AdamsCharlotte, NCJanuary 15, 2008x
Charles SlaterLongwood, FLJanuary 15, 2008I am outraged by ear marks and want a person like Jeff Flake on the appropriations committee.
Patrick McHargueBen Lomond, CAJanuary 15, 2008Stop earmarks. They are little more than an attempt to curry favor, and most should not even be contemplated by Government, let along the federal Government.

Joshua PalmerFindlay, OHJanuary 15, 2008Having Congressman Jeff Flake on the House Appropiations Committee will add instant credibility to the Republican leadership and show they are serious about earmark reform.
Mike JaskieScottsdale, AZJanuary 15, 2008Jeff Flake should be lauded for his efforts at cutting government waste and excess. He is a good and honorable man who deserves a great deal of credit for his responsible governance even before it became the 'popular' thing for the GOP to talk about in '06.
John StapletonEuclid, OHJanuary 15, 2008x
Peter WegmanFolsom, LAJanuary 15, 2008We need real Economic Conservatives in leadership positions. I am sick of Economically Liberal conservatives giving the Republican party a bad name in Washington.
David AndersonPortland, ORJanuary 15, 2008x
ted Hic ksRidgecrest, CAJanuary 15, 2008We want and need Jeff Flake. Zell and Ted Hicks
sylvia marshallGardiner, MTJanuary 15, 2008x
Fred BeitzelHouston, TXJanuary 15, 2008Appoint Jeff Flake. It's time to demonstrate to America that Republicans can and will fight against wasteful and excessive spending.
Gerald SloatJohnstown, PAJanuary 15, 2008I would like to think that members of Congress would take the lead in cutting government spending. Putting Jeff Flake on the appropriations committee would be a good first step in that direction.
Carson AmmonsFayetteville, ARJanuary 15, 2008We need someone who will help us contol our spending. Appoint Jeff Flake!

Rick AlbrightMountville, PAJanuary 15, 2008x
Craig LalleyAlbany, ORJanuary 15, 2008Its time to stop the pork process, if not now, when. Enough is enough.
David AnthonyBrooksville, FLJanuary 15, 2008If the Republicans are unconcerned about fiscal discipline in Congress, they are no better than the Democrats, so American voters will simply be offered the choice of both sides of the same coin.
Lance HelstenOrem, UTJanuary 15, 2008x
Burkeville, TXJanuary 15, 2008It is time Republican House members stood firm on getting rid of earmarks! This is what the grassroots want. Make it Jeff Flake!
Kathleen HerrJackson, MIJanuary 15, 2008I completely object to the practice of attaching earmarks to bills. Congress should do nothing not precisely specified in the Constitution.
Paul WittkeKnoxville, TNJanuary 15, 2008We need Jeff Flake on the Appropriations Committee! He is doing what is best for this country.
Gerald KerkhoveCentennial, COJanuary 15, 2008We are tired of the wasteful spending Congress does each year. We need more Members of Congress to stand up and say "no more". This pork barrell spending is another good reason why Members of Congress should be subject to term limits just like the President.
Shirely A JorgensonRoyal Oaks, CAJanuary 15, 2008It is about time someone in this inept congress used common sense when it comes to spending the taxpayers hard earned money. Voe for Jeff flake to curb the spending.
David JandaLivingston, TXJanuary 15, 2008Big-spending/big-government Republicans lost the support of fiscal conservatives in the 2006 election and lost their House majority because of it. Don't continue this self-defeating trend.
Ted HilsMidland City, ALJanuary 15, 2008We need a Republican on the committee that is part of the solution, not part of the problem. Appoint Jeff!
Danita PhillipsLakewood, COJanuary 15, 2008x
Roland SteortsRochester, NYJanuary 15, 2008I am a Republican who feels abandoned by his party. Taking a stand on earmarks will help me see there IS a difference between the two parties.
S. Rowan Wilson, MBALas Vegas, NVJanuary 15, 2008As a financial professional, if we ran our business the way the Federal government does we would be in serious trouble. Let Jeff Flake take over the position on the committee and restore fiscal conservancy to Congress.
Matthew GrageColorado springs, COJanuary 15, 2008x
Samara PetersonBaxter, MNJanuary 15, 2008x
Dan ScupinMiramar Beach, FLJanuary 15, 2008The Republicans are "cutting their own throats" if they don't appoint Jeff Flake. We DON'T NEED more of the same.
Kathleen BarleyWaterville, OHJanuary 15, 2008Mr. Boehner, from OH, as I am from OH, please put Jeff on the committee. Do you realize how much Republicans stand to lose if you don't quit this pork?! Thank you for you immediate action! Mrs. Kathleen Barley
Marissa BrisenoLos Angeles, CAJanuary 15, 2008x
Terry FirestoneApopka, FLJanuary 15, 2008Unless the money is to go specifically to update roads and highways, bridges, school buildings, hospitals, military pay, benefits and research, or other national infrastructure, it should go to reduce taxes both individual and corporate. No more hometown payola. We need a line item veto on the budget. Jeff Flake can do it.
Dirk HoynsSocial Circle, GAJanuary 15, 2008Decision time: Same old stuff or lead with vision.
Bill SchmidtTulsa, OKJanuary 15, 2008We lost the last election due to out of control spending. Now its time to show that we are serious about cutting pork and Rep. Jeff Flake has demonstrated he is serious about it, and should be appointed to the appropriations committee vacancy.
Diana KohrtRochester, MNJanuary 15, 2008This spending insanity has to stop!!!
Susan StaffordColumbus, OHJanuary 15, 2008We need men like you on the Appropriations Committee. We are glad you are going for it!
Barbara DavisLas Vegas, NVJanuary 15, 2008Please help save our country. We are in such trouble and turmoil. Please start here and help get rid of the awful spending of our hard earned tax money. It is unbelieveable that this should be happening in our Congress.
Donna AndressSearchlight, NVJanuary 15, 2008We positively need a "watchdog" for spending. It's way out of hand. Congress should have to live within it's income as we do!

Gregory CecilMerritt Island, FLJanuary 15, 2008When I changed my registration to independent, I was asked why I left the Republican Party. I replied that I didn't leave the Republican Party, it left me. With your insistence on giving illegal aliens amnesty to your wild spending sprees, you are not the party that I joined when Ronald Reagan was President. As a party, you have dug yourself a pretty deep hole. Placing Jeff Flake on the Appropriations committee would be a nice start to getting out of that hole.
Val McDannelThornton, COJanuary 15, 2008Congress has to do somthing to stop the pork. Do you believe you have an open check book with our hard earned money? You would think the replublicans would get a clue after the embarrassing defeat last election. We had both housed of congress and the Presidency, and what have we accomplished? More pork that Clinton ever thought about. Please put Rep Flake on the committee. He seems to be one of the few that we tax payers can count on!
Ernest CoteAsbury Park, NJJanuary 15, 2008Reviving the Reagan Revolution or permanent THIRD-party status for the GOP. Your call, Boehner ... and your legacy.

Frank MartinOrmond Beach, FLJanuary 15, 2008It is time to restore traditional Republican principles to Congress. Jeff Flake is the man for this job!
Ken WozniakSouth Bend, INJanuary 15, 2008The unconstitutional spending has to stop! We need Flake in there to hold politicians responsible for their pet projects. Let the public know where our money is going and who is giving it away.
